Kona Kai

The Kona Kai Resort & Spa expansion added two new two-story buildings with 41 guest rooms, a pool, and 25,000 sq ft event area. One building contained 8 deluxe suites while the other had 33 luxury rooms. The project involved extensive site improvements as well. Located on a narrow peninsula in San Diego, we coordinated with the Harbor Authority since part of the construction extended into the bay. Replacing failing structures and addressing erosion added complexity. Our work transformed the dated property through contemporary new guest facilities and amenities.
